And the semester winds up....
While I was studying for my exams as of recent, I came to a realization. Within this semester, I have done more schoolwork, and gone out more. I think we are learning better time management skills, which have been absolutley necessary in order to keep up with the amount of work required in a third year class.
It has also been a semester of firsts. First time going out so often. First time one of us has puked from alcohol while I've been around, first time renting a car.
I've become close with the exchange students, and have learned how much fun they are to party with. They are wonderful to go out and have fun with, and offer a different view on the world.
My room had actually stayed clean for more than a month! It was spotless for a month, until of course, exams started. At the moment it's gone to pots cause I've been studying and not focusing on cleaning as much. I've dropped about a pant size and a half, which is quite significant, especially when I am constantly pulling up my jeans, and my hair is hilighted! That's something I thought I'd never do!
Somehow, somewhere along the way, I found a new friend online. We spent awhile last night trying to remember how we first actually became friends, and neither of us could remember when that point was.
I have discovered that I can no longer read Cosmo. The articles are always repetitive, and when I read the non-sex articles, it's everything that I already know. I've either learned about it in school in more depth, or it's overly common sense. Either I'm too mature for my age, or Cosmo is (inadvertently) appealing to a much younger audience, around the 16 year old mark. Now I've turned to Glamour or Self, which I actually seem to enjoy reading, and the odd Oprah and Canadian House and Home mixed in.
Overall it's been a great semester, for both what I've learned inside and outside of the classroom. That's it in a nutshell.
